Our team of experienced principals are committed to delivering superior returns to our limited partners.
Charles Goodgal is a Co-Founder and Principal of Grand Avenue Holdings LLC and its affiliates (“Grand Avenue”).
Chuck also co-founded Gargoyle Group Holdings LLC and its affiliates (the “Gargoyle Group”) in 1988 and was one of its Principals from its inception until it closed operations. The Gargoyle Group specialized in structuring and managing complex options and stock-and-options positions for sophisticated individuals and institutions. Chuck retired from day-to-day management of the Gargoyle Group in 2013 and, since then, has made his living as an investor in private placement offerings across a number of industries.
He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Economics and has an MBA in finance from the Wharton Graduate School of Business.
Andrew E. Hurni is a Co-Founder and Principal of Grand Avenue.
Drew also maintains a private law practice, concentrating in the areas of securities law and regulation, hedge fund formation and regulation, corporate law and business planning through which he counsels investment partnerships and start-up companies. Since 2001, Drew has been an advisor to OTAF LLC, a friends-and-family investment pool that was the precursor of Grand Avenue.
Drew is a graduate of Rutgers University and Quinnipiac University School of Law. He also holds a Masters of Law in Taxation from Temple University School of Law.
Alan S. MacKenzie, Jr. is a Co-Founder and Principal of Grand Avenue.
Since 2007, until it ceased operations, Mr. MacKenzie was a Principal and the CFO and COO of the Gargoyle Group. Moreover, Mr. MacKenzie is the Founder, in 1998, and Administrative Manager of OTAF, LLC, a private investment club which ceased making new investments in 2018. Finally, Mr. MacKenzie is a Principal and the CFO of EV Private Investments LLC and its affiliates (“EVPI”), which manage several funds that invest in venture debt and equity. He has 30 years of experience in the financial industry, ranging from equity and index options trading to financial and regulatory accounting for broker dealers, trading firms and hedge funds.
Alan is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. He is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charter holder.
Joshua B. Parker is a Co-Founder and Principal of Grand Avenue.
Josh was also a Principal of the Gargoyle Group from 1998 until it ceased operation. He founded and acted as the President and CEO of its asset management business for 20 years before retiring in December 2018. Since 2015, Josh has been the advisor to CastleRock Holdings LLC, which manages a number of real estate-based investment funds. Since 2008, Josh has been an advisor to OTAF and has been an investor in private placement offerings across a number of industries. Josh’s 35+-year career in finance has spanned hedge fund and portfolio management, options trading, and legal and regulatory compliance.
Josh is a graduate of Yale University and the New York University School of Law.
